Burra Community Management Committee Inc.

Our Logo Symbolism
On the right is a Peppermint Gum tree (the scar tree on Country) which symbolises the Ngadjuri people, known as the Peppermint Gum Tree people, the traditional owners of the land upon which Burra was founded. On the left is the Burra Railway Station, a major project of the Burra CMC, representing the heritage of the Burra settlement and current day tourism. The Burra Rotunda is the main meeting place in Market Square Burra where all of our community comes together to celebrate. Notice that there are no barriers on the Rotunda, as it was originally, to represent that there are no barriers to community inclusion and engagement in Burra. The direction symbol on the top of the Rotunda indicates that we can take our community in any direction that the combined community voice directs us. We are your Burra CMC.
